More Bella Rose Blue

I've been sewing and painting again...comes as no surprise I guess, right?
My two favorite things to do when it comes to creating.

I received my other 2 yards of the Bella Rose Blue.  Let me tell ya, it was the longest wait I've experienced with an online order ever!  But the lady I ordered from was a sweetheart.  The first 2 yards came quick but when the second 2 never came, I got worried.  So I went to leave the owner a message, but she had already messaged me.  There seemed to have been a problem with the post office not scanning in the package.  She had informed me that 5 of her packages were lost.  I know that must have been disheartening to her and a big headache.  She got on the ball and mailed me 2 more at her expense.  Not wasn't that sweet of her?   I'll definitely order from her in the future.

Now here's what I've done these past few days with it.

It's so hard to photograph this window...but the window treatment is gorgeous!  I love this fabric!

Two place mats...I want little snippets of the blue in both rooms since they adjoin.

And I made lampshade covers.  I am still trying to decide whether I want them on the chandy of the candelabra.

Which do you like better?

I also made another cover for one of my lamps.

I love how the fabric has the vintage look.  When I watch the Walton's, I look at their background, lamps, sofa ect...I kinda think this looks like something you'd see on there and that makes me feel happy.

On our trip to the church rummage sale a few days ago....I found some old Home Interior pictures and loved the frames.  They were that tarnished looking gold(sorry I forgot to take a before photo).
I knew they'd
 work perfect for my paintings.

I can't decide if I want to sell these since they were my very first paintings or keep them...

But I do think they turned out great in the old frames!

I also used some of the fabric scraps for some smaller frames I had.

I really loved how this one turned out!

Aren't they cute?

This one had a picture of Marie Antoinette in it.
I kinda like the rose better don't you?

Now I'm off to sew some more.  I want to add some ruffles to my table runner like I did on the place mats.

I hope you all are having a blessed weekend...I know I sure am!

  2. Wow Melanie you got a lot out of that fabric. I love the shades on the chandelier. They look great both places but I think I like the chandelier best. That fabric is so pretty.

  4. Awe--your paintings are so sweet. Both of my Grandmothers and my Dad paint but I did not inherit that talent. I also love the framed fabric! Such a great idea--I am such a fabric lover--certain patterns just make me happy! Also love your placemats--it has been on my mind to make some too. :)
