As Fall arrives in all of her beauty, I can't help to have a heavy heart.  My beautiful world is changing so rapidly.  I am seeing things happen in this world that I have only heard and read stories about.

Do we really understand what is happening to the United States?  Our freedom of speech, our choice of religion, our daily lives are all being compromised.   We are all facing a deadly disease unlike the aids era that I grew up with.  It isn't something we can try and prevent by our behavior or choices.  It is something that is affecting all of us as the media plays it all out.  The fear, the worry, it is all so hard to take.

We have sat back and watched rights taken away and given to others because of their protests.

Pastors are being  subpoenaed for their sermons...is this all really happening?

Our country was founded upon freedom in all areas as long as we followed our countries laws.  I am just dumbfounded as I sit back and watch this story unfold.

We all need to come together and pray for our country, our people, our families, our loved ones to have open eyes and ears to see how sly the enemy has been and what is being accomplished.  We all need to know who God is and how He is the answer to everything.

My world now is consumed with prayer and a heavy heart.  My little corner of the world is rapidly changing.  Please join in with me and pray....like we've never prayed before.

  2. Wow, I just checked out an article on the Pastors being subpoenaed. I don't follow the news as closely as my husband and missed that one! It's definitely starting to creep me out, how the End Times is starting to play out. On the flip side, I'm SO excited for the Rapture. To see Jesus and God face to face...and to be with my mother again! I'm in New Brunswick, Canada, and several people I know, myself included, are feeling that it is VERY close. I don't mean 100 years very close, I mean in our lifetimes, very close. Maybe we are all wrong. Only God knows the exact time, but Biblical evidence is pointing that way. When I read and hear of events, like what you posted, it just seems so surreal...

  3. Amen, Melanie. It is a sad, sick, scary world that we are living in. The scary thing, as you said, is that these diseases are not preventable. It is sad that it was ever brought into our country to begin with.....and I know that is a controversial subject but that is just my own personal feelings on it. And now, another nurse got on the plane and was already infected!!! I worry for my kids and grandkids. xo Diana

  4. Thank you for sharing your heart today, Melanie. This brings me great comfort continually: "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation; but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." John 16:33 Jesus knew all that we would have to face and wanted us to know that with Him, we can not only have peace, but joy as well. He really is amazingly awesome! Mary, Phil.4:19

  6. Thank you for sharing this today.
I have been feeling the exact same way. As a Christian I am deeply troubled. I often wonder if anyone out there feels as I do.
My daughter is a physician in Seattle and I worry every day that she could be exposed to one of these deadly viruses.
I pray every single day for your our country, our freedom and our well-being.
    May God bless America!

  9. Yes, Melanie...so in agreement with you!! Our country needs prayer like never before! The Bible is being fulfilled everyday right before our eyes.....time is short, very short. I believe the rapture can occur anytime....God is coming to get his people! Blessings~~~Roxie

  10. Melanie I know how you feel. I really do as I feel it too.
The truth cannot be spoken, sermons are being edited and the Bible is not respected...we cannot even have the ten commandments anymore as they might offend someone.
What comes to my mind is the Bible says people will become proud of things they should be ashamed of and I see this everywhere.
I am in Australia and have many internet USA friends. Both countries are in a mess. You really cannot speak the word of God without persecution or the thread of legal action against you.
Melanie dont give up, just pray. I love your blog and you add beauty and positive words and encouragement to peoples lives. I blog for the same reason. There needs to be encouragement and light.
We know God will be victorious in the end. But it is tough. And it has been so tough for Christians before us... think being fed to the lions! But it is sure scary when some Mayor wants to control the sermons in the city.... what evil is that? Trying to edit the word of God. God help her!
    Bless you Melanie.xxx
