Here's an update on the cushions

It took me a little bit to figure out what fabric I was going to use for the cushions.  After digging through my stash of fabric, I ran across a shower curtain I bought from facebook yard sale a few months back that I had forgotten about.  I was so happy!

Then I had to make sure I had enough to do six cushions...thankfully, I did with a little bit of creative thinking.

I found some old curtains to use for the bottom.  Can you believe I was out of white fabric?!!!

I ran out of white thread too!  No more sewing for me until I restock my stash!

I still need to paint the floor in this area with one more coat of paint.  Then I need to finish painting the umbrella...I sure hope it turns out ok or I'll be sewing a slipcover for it too.

Stay tuned...

  1. Beautiful and perfect fabric choice. It is looking beautiful on your porch- xo Diana

  2. I love that fabric--they turned out great! I know the feeling of running out of white thread :)

  3. Great fabric. I LOVE your porch, so very pretty!

  4. Melanie,
These turned out so cute. I love that fabric. When can I come over to hang out on that beautiful porch. So inviting.

  5. Hi Melanie! I just found your blog. I wonder if you would be so kind as to tell me what is the lightest shade of pink you have found in spray paint? I cannot seem to find a shade that is is light enough for my liking. I love the pale shade you have for your walls. I realize that is not spray painted. ;)

  6. Your porch, and everything in it is so pretty!!!

  7. I'm so glad you were able to put the curtain to good use!

  8. I'm so glad you were able to put the curtain to good use!

Thank you so much for stopping in...I love hearing from you! Hugs, Melanie
