What I've been up to this past week

I don't know where this past week has gone...it flew by!

I can tell you one thing...I was busy!

I made a headboard from an old mantel for a friend.  It was her Granny's and she wanted to be able to use it in her home somehow since it was too small for her fireplace.  I told her "why not make it into a headboard for her spare room"...she loved the idea!

See those little ledges on her fireplace wall?  Well, I'm building her a mantel to cover those this week.  I can't wait to get it finished....I think it'll be perfect!

I took a piece of pegboard, a twin foam mattress pad and a drop cloth from Lowes.  Covered the buttons and then measured and began the tufting.

She was thrilled with it and so was I!

Then she wanted me to decorate her walls and surfaces...and I have to say that the room is turning out really nice!  She's still on the lookout for that perfect bedding, so I'll post it when she gets it.

I also bought some end tables and a chair that I had planned on painting this past weekend but didn't have the time.

I think they'll be beautiful once finished!

I did however make some time for my sweet hubby Saturday.  Something we don't have much of anymore with our hectic schedules.  We went to our Farmers Market and bought some fresh veggies and fruit, some mums and foddershocks.  We then had lunch together which was so nice to just sit and chat without any interruptions.

And today(Sunday) I did my sewing....I made a slipcover for this sweet old rocking chair.  I think it turned out beautifully!

Oh...and I was able to actually get all of my laundry finished this past week and see the bottoms of our hampers!
But guess what?
I can't see them anymore....
